GoodsTag becomes a member of the international NFC Forum

Together with 14 other companies, including Nike, Avery Dennison RFID, and CISC Semiconductor, GoodsTag has joined the ranks of the international NFC Forum. The forum was founded in 2004 as a global industry association and has its headquarters in Wakefield, USA. The forum counts 150 companies as its members. Its goal is to promote awareness of NFC technology, increase its usage, develop specifications, and ensure its interoperability between devices and services.

“The new member companies come from a wide variety of industries. They include both established companies and new startups, operate in a wide range of markets, and offer a rich portfolio of products and services,” says Paula Hunter, Managing Director of the NFC Forum. “This generous variety reflects the versatility of NFC technology, lays strong foundations for innovation, and demonstrates the growing importance of the NFC ecosystem.”

“We are very much looking forward to talking and cooperating with other members of the NFC Forum as it is the leading industry association in the field of NFC,” said Oliver Schwarz, CEO of GoodsTag. “Near field communication is the foundation of our business and so we are keen on promoting this innovative technology and help drive the development of industry standards.”
